By producing essential petroleum products like gasoline, LPG, and kerosene locally, the refinery will help reduce energy costs for the people of Equatorial Guinea.
The project will stimulate the local economy, creating new opportunities in sectors like project management, fabrication, manpower supply, shipping, chemical supply, and trucking.
During the construction phase, the refinery will employ around 1,500 local youths from Equatorial Guinea. Once operational, the refinery will continue to support around 350 jobs, providing stable employment opportunities.
The refinery will transform Equatorial Guinea into a net exporter of petroleum products, supplying markets in the African subregion, Asia, and the Middle East. This shift will boost the country’s export earnings and reduce dependence on imported fuels.
